Rosane Zanini, graduated as architect at the University Vale do Rio dos Sinos in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil. She specialized in Urban Design at the University of Stuttgart (Universität Stuttgart) in Germany and accomplished a Master´s degree in Architecture and Art at the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste Berlin - UdK Berlin). In 2003 she made her Doctorate in Urban and Regional Planning at the Technical University of Berlin (German: Technische Universität – TU Berlin).

She is the daughter of Ida Fontana and Zady Antonio Zanini and mother of Marcello Angelo and Antonio Ernesto. She is the author of the book “Stadtentwicklung, Stadtplanung, Favelas” (Urban Development, City Planning, Slums), Peter Lang, Bern (2005) and joint author of the book “Nós, Mulheres, vol. 6” (Us, Women, vol. 6), Oficina do Livro Editora, São Paulo (2007). She participated in several literary anthologies and publishes also in newspapers and specialized notebooks and magazines.

She has won several literary prizes, is an associated writer of REBRA – Network of Brazilian Women Writer´s and will participate in the next Anthology of REBRA: “The Brazilian talent in prose and verse”.
