BIOGRAPHY

Writer. Translator. Revisor. Researcher. Teacher. Mainly ... Woman, Mother and Grandma! Betty adopted - gladly - the bustling metropolis of Sao Paulo as her homeland, since she moved with her parents and sisters from the quiet town of Monte Santo de Minas, Minas Gerais, when she was only three years old. In Sao Paulo, the incredible world of books has opened to her curiosity since Kindergarten. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Languages (Mackenzie University) (SP-Brazil). Thanks to her husband (Buby)'s unconditional support, plus her daughter's company, Betty also attended the Project Zero Summer Institute, at Harvard Graduate School of Education, a course dedicated to studying Multiple Intelligences, conducted by none other than Howard Gardner and David Perkins. She taught English in several schools in Sao Paulo and also in Europe (Frankfurt and London International Schools), where she lived for six years with her husband and three children. < Back to her tropical country, she wrote newspapers articles, besides being a translator and revisor (texts, films and books) for Mr. Hugo Schlessinger. To him, she did an extensive and interesting work of research, resulting in the publication of the trilogy The Jewish Influence in the Western World. For some years, Betty has also worked as Pre-School Artistic and Pedagogical Advisor, activity that enabled her creativeness to boost up a great deal, since her hobby is painting (on wood, porcelain, ceramics, any material that can be painted). After years of encouragement from her first fan - her dear mother-in-law Veroca - Betty has, finally, dedicated herself to writing, shortly before celebrating half a century of her fantastic life. With her best friend - her daughter Drika - she published her first two books. With the indispensable (and tireless!) computer assistance from her youngest son, Guili, she achieved some knowledge to master her laptop, which led her to work on her writing a great deal more than before. After having had her eldest son (Guto) kidnapped by despicable and shameful ways which - too late she found out - are a Opus Dei Trademark, Betty launched one of the most controversial books in recent years: Opus Dei - A False Work of God: Alert to the Catholic Families, which reveals this organization concealed core, displaying the disguised aggressive process of recruitment used within this sect, in addition to pointing out to the public concealed addresses, mysterious groups of facade and Opus Dei's ominous modus operandi. Still concerning to this issue, Betty was one of the writers of the book Opus Dei and Women; after that, she organized the book Underneath the Coercion of Opus Dei. She continues her fight – trough enormous media exposition – with the only purpose of alerting people against the inherent dangers of sects, even those camouflaged as being Catholic, like Opus Dei. As people can not live only in grief all the time, Betty made a point of reviewing books of the most distinct areas, of participating in several anthologies, where she shares premium space with numerous remarkable and respected writers, whose knowledge and acquaintance have only added positively to her development as a writer and - especially - as a human being. She has also had the great pleasure to write the preface of some very special books, from unique writers. Her books are present in the Library of Congress (Washington - EUA), University of Coimbra and University of Lisbon (Portugal), INSEAD (Fontainebleau - France), Geneve Canton Library (Switzerland) and USA SHOA FOUNDATION Institute (California - USA), Jewish Learning Center Ohr Menachem Mendel Resource Library Chabad (North Miami Beach, USA). Therefore... her writing continues ... nonstop!
